2024 will mark 4 years for us and we are SO pumped to make this the best one yet with all of our awesome clients. Since we opened our doors in our flagship store in Norfolk in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, we have been floored by the support and commraderie of our community and had a blast getting to know everyone and growing our little business. What started as a plant and flower shop has grown into a lifestyle shop that we never imagined possible and we've had a blast getting there.
We opened - and then ultimately closed - a second store in Virginia Beach and, while we miss seeing our regulars, we learned that bigger and more is not always better. For me personally, "bigger" meant less of what I love (being in the shop and chatting with the customers and being creative with everything we do) and more of what I really don't like (all of the administrative things and lots of running back and forth and being overwhelmed by TASKS).
We also have continued to expand our offerings to now include full-service floral design for weddings and events as well as more gifts, home goods and - recently - clothing! The initial response has been nothing short of amazing and humbling.
So...what can you look forward to for 2024? Here are a few things coming up ASAP that we know you'll love as much as we do:
1. More clothing and accessories - while we may not be able to display every piece in the shop, our online shop continues to grow as we ship out our beautiful goods all over the country. My retail background in my younger days was always in fashion and I've had a blast getting to finally curate our own line.
2. PLANT CLUB - we have loved being Norfolk's OG house plant shop and want to continue to also be your favorite! In March, we will launch a new aspect of our loyalty program, the Nine Twenty-Two Plant Club. As we continue to bring in the best variety and quality of plants, we want our regulars (and new friends as well) to benefit from being loyal customers through insider discounts, special VIP only sales and sneak peek previews to new shipments. Be sure you are on our email list to get the details and the invite when it launches.
3. Flower Subscriptions and a special upgrade to our weekly Flower Happy Hour - flower subscriptions will keep your house in bloom (or make the perfect gift) at prices better than our weekly in-store arrangements. We can't think of a better way to treat yourself or to gift someone who already has everything. Subscription holders get discounts on any addition flowers purchased outside of your weekly subscription and will have the ability for an occasional pause for travel. Details to come within the week!
4. Weddings! I started out as a wedding florist and we are ready to jump back in. If you - or someone you know - is planning your big day, please reach out...we'd love to help.
5. We have a BIG celebration planned for our 4-year anniversary, including a private party, special discounts and new products. Be sure you are on our email list to get the invite.
